Members on all committees must:

o      Be appointed and approved by the OPS owner or partner organization they represent.
o      Have a willingness to contribute time and expertise.
o      Have a willingness to seek input from, and circulate draft standards within the organizations they represent for comment during  development.
o      Have knowledge of municipal or ministry contract engineering practices.
o      Have a commitment to use the Ontario Provincial Standards.
Attendance by all members at scheduled meetings is especially important to the accomplishment of work by the committees. Acceptance of membership on an OPS committee implies recognition of the value of its work and a commitment to make every effort to attend its scheduled meetings. Failure to attend three consecutive meetings, either in person or by an approved alternate, may be construed as an indication of an inability to participate fully in the work of the committee and this may become the basis for the consideration of a replacement.
