OPS Advisory Board - Terms of Reference

  The role of the OPS Advisory Board is to: 

o         Perform strategic planning, and decide where to place emphasis on which goods and services OPS should produce, now, and in the future, with due consideration of the decisions being made by the Provincial and Municipal governments.
 
o         Set OPS policies.
 
o         Coordinate activities of the OPS Products Management and Standards Management Committees.
 
o         Monitor membership and work plans of the OPS Products Management and Standards Management Committees.
 
o         Review and approve projects of the OPS Products Management and Standards Management Committees.
 
o         Review and improve the delivery mechanism for OPS standards and products approval as required.
 
o         Generally encourage Owners, consultants, Contractors, other government ministries and agencies, and developers to use OPS.
 
o         Generally encourage input from municipal engineering bodies to blend their standards into OPS.
 
o         Review and make recommendations on the budget for the OPS Unit.
 
o         Recommend issues to MTO regarding staffing levels in the OPS Unit.
